Tracy Parker

Danielle Peters

Tracy Parker & Danielle Peters

Workshop – “Bringing Up Boys/Raising Men: Releasing The Heart Strings

For nearly 35 years, Tracy Parker has been a leader in creatively ministering to children and their families. Her passion for teaching children about Christ and mentoring their parents to do the same is clearly a gift. Her love for children has taken her on a journey from a successful private daycare provider, to women’s ministry leader, to the Director of Children’s Ministry for a large church in upstate New York. Today, she hosts a Facebook page called “Faith and Family Connections” which focuses exclusively on helping parents become the spiritual leaders in their homes. Tracy lives in Corning, NY and continues to mentor children’s ministry leaders around the country. The mother of two grown boys (men) and a grandparent to four lovely grandchildren, Tracy understands the critical value of investing in family relationships. Tracy is an accomplished illustrator and water color artist and also finds joy in reclaiming and re-imagining architectural salvage.

After pursuing a degrees in computer engineering and business, Danielle thought her future would be spent in the board room and the male-dominated world of the high-tech industry. Instead, Christ grabbed her life and heart, through her marriage to Dave and their early struggles. Her life is now is spent in the living room and it is still male-dominated. Drop into Danielle’s house and you’ll find her giving her all to her marriage and her five sons, born within 7 years and all named after baseball legends, which in the Peters family, is right next to biblical heroes. She now sees herself as a translator of sorts, as she learns the language of men and boys, and yearns to help others embrace and speak the language that will set our men and marriages, sons and schooling, LEGOs and legacies, on fire for God’s Kingdom.

Heather has been married to John for almost 18 years and is a mom to four amazing kids, 2 teens, and 2 littles. She’s a pediatric SLP by profession, but a mom and wife by design. Her husband John is the Pastor of the Renovation House, a Christian drug and alcohol rehab center in upstate NY. Their family spends a lot of time with the men of the Reno House, and they attempt to model what a healthy, God-centered marriage and family looks like (they use a lot of humor and wit!) John and Heather started “Heather’s Home Orphanage” in Port-Au-Prince Haiti in 2010. They are striving to reach this next generation of Haitians with 13 healthy, educated children who they are training up to be God chasers and seekers. Her overall desire is just to live simply, love deeply, build community, raise kingdom minded kids and represent Christ well!

Linda and her husband Jim are raising 7 of the children God gave them. They are also embracing grandparenting. Together, they started and pastor, a local church in their rural community. Linda has always been passionate about teaching. She has taught in their homeschool, at private school and currently is teaching Pre K. She also teaches at her church and other local ministries.
