He was busy. So many people were pressing in on Him demanding of His time. Today, the pressing need was a dying twelve year old girl. Jarius, her father, had fallen at His feet and begged Him to come and heal, and He was moving towards her when it happened. Someone touched Him. Hope Himself spoke. Hope received. Hope Healed.

“Who touched me?” Jesus asked (Luke 8:45 NLT)

He called her out of the crowd and He saw her.

Humbled, she fell to her knees and told her story.

Hope had healed her, immediately.

He blessed her and she went on in peace. {Taken from Luke chapter 8}

I love this story of a woman meeting Hope for probably the first time in her life.  Every time I read it I feel swept up in crowd. And then everything slows as I watch her reach out one more time.

Did you see that He stopped? He saw her? He healed, and He bent down low to tell her so?

Hope does this for us, too. He stops, He sees, heals, and blesses us.

“Hope is not a wish or a sprinkle of magical fairy dust. Hope is a Person. Jesus.”

~from Hope for the Weary Mom: Where God Meets You in Your Mess

The hope we have today as moms is found in our relationship with Jesus. It sounds simple, but it is true.  I know you have a crowd pressing in on you, too. I know you are being swept along by the crazy of your day and it is only 8:00AM. I know reaching out one more time might seem like a fruitless effort.

But, Hope, He is here. He sees you. And He is looking your right in the eyes today to tell you:

“Daughter,” he said to her, “your faith has made you well. Go in peace.” Luke 8:48 NLT

Hope is not too busy for you, mama. He will stop for His daughters, always. Healing may look like a promise from His Word, strength to get up and make breakfast for your babies, or it may be heart healing. But Hope will stop and Hope will bless because that is who He is.

Reach out today, once more. Hope is here with us.

Pray with me?

And so, Lord, where do I put my hope? My only hope is in you. Psalm 39:7 NLT
